Dynamic Home Theater (now Decor) was founded in 1999 by Michael Stone. At the time, Home Theater was just at the beginning phase with the advent of Dolby Pro Logic © and the idea of surround sound in the home.

Michael reflects by telling us,

I just wanted a cool remote control to work all of my new components and a nice audio rack to put it all on, and I just could not find anything except for what they had at the big box discount stores, so I found a cool audio rack on the Internet of all places from a Canadian importer of high-end audio - I loved it so much that I wanted to sell one to everyone! I started to sell them on eBay...then I found the coolest remote ever, and wanted to sell those too! Then I bought a big screen TV and needed a stand to put that on...as you can see this snowballed into an amazing selection of all types of furniture from 50 different manufacturers, and one of the best, in my opinion, destination shopping sites on the Internet!
